Hey folks, I’ve placed the proposed Primitive Skills Group Logos back online for our group to check out and possibly vote on. I will place a poll for you all to vote in and will pass on the results to the “powers that be” of the group. Please go to this linky:

If you feel that you can do better with the graphics then by all means I encourage you to do so! The poll will stay open until midnight on July 31st. If that is not enough time please let me know so I can change the closing time for the poll.

For those of you whom do not know what the Primitive Skills Group is, it is an email listserv for people who are into primitive lifestyles skills (not read as survivalists, those are quite different). I will post the linky to the groups page a little later, right now I have to go get ready to go out for a free meal.

Well folks, a dear friend of mine just got through telling me today that I need to update my blog. Seems as if he enjoys reading the ramblings of this miscreant ironworker that is trying to better himself. So with that in mind (and the possibility that you may never again read anything that I place in print either on or offline) I place fingers to keyboard to see what may in fact pour out of my unconsciousness and onto the digital page…

I guess first I should update you to my current status from my last entry. During my last episodic venture I was unemployed and enjoying some time off of a fairly long stretch of overtime hours. There are a few happenings of note that I will place here for your perusal. First of all I did not remain unemployed for any real length of time. I went back to work on June 4th on a small bank being erected across the street from Hooters Restaurant in Bloomington, IL. and just down the street from the Culvers which is on the east side of that town. Now you may not understand the import of this until I make mention that even though I am still a fairly young (46), mostly healthy, virile man, I was more excited to be near Culvers with it’s “Concrete Mixers” frozen custard than I was to be near Hooters. I attribute this to being happily married to my lovely wife, Jean. So, I’m back to work connecting iron (which I have not done in over 10 years) on a small building, working 40 hours or so a week, and just generally enjoying life.
