Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. Here you will find different musings and descriptions of the various happenings in my life. Anything from political and religious opinions to fantastical writings that have absolutely nothing to do with anything important. Some days I may write about my educational adventures and others I may be writing about the rising price of gasoline, you just never know. So, if this is your cup of tea or if you are just looking for the entertainment of reading other people's thoughts, I welcome you and invite you to subscribe to my blog (look for the link in the sidebar). Spring Project 2008

Ok folks, here’s the newest project we’ve been doing at the homestead. With our landlord’s blessings (thanks Dave!) we were allowed to put in a small patio to place our table onto and to improve part of the area around the firepit. Here are the pictures of the project from start to finish:

This patio makes for a nice addition in the backyard as it gives us a nice dry space to enjoy the yard with even after a storm or shower. Since I have a lot of stuff on the back porch it was important for us to expand into the yard a bit and allow us space to relax and have a nice meal outside. This is only half of the project we are doing this spring, the other half is to place a 2 foot border at the base of the chain link fence on the north side of the back yard. This will be filled with bark mulch and will have some plantings along the base of the fence. I will be posting more pictures of it when I work on it on Sunday.
