Rain Day!!

Got a rain day today. Just too wet to set any iron, even if we had any pieces to set so…..
Got a day off. Came home and watched a movie on Netflix, what a wonderful service. I really love the fact that I can watch movies online through Netflix as a lot of movies that I enjoy the rest of my family does not. This allows me to watch those movies in peace and quiet and not bother anyone else. After my movie, I decided to surf the net a bit and check out some of my homework assignment. I have to create a flash presentation which highlights a couple of aspects of a certain product. I’ve decided to choose the Vick’s Cool Mist Vaporizor as the product and will post the final presentation here after this weekend.
Now to the second portion of this post. I’ve also had the t.v. playing in the background. On a hunch I decided to put Fox Reality Channel on and on comes the show “Smile, You’re Under Arrest”. After watching this for about 15 minutes (and seeing a couple of perps get busted by the undercover deputies), I begin to wonder just how this is not entrapment. Not only that but this type of voyeurism is really quite disturbing to me. Reality T.V. has really hit a new low as far as I’m concerned. It is one thing to watch the police in the line of duty arrest actual criminals but to do so on the basis of de-humanizing them and belittling them on a national level? What happens if and when they make a mistake and arrest the WRONG person or one whom is innocent? But after reviewing Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Wiki I’m not certain if he or his constituents really care or not. I suggest that you read it, items like his pink underwear and tent city are very revealing if you ask me. I guess it’s not really entrapment as they are not enticing the “guests” to break the law, merely gathering them up to serve a warrant but is it morally ethical to do so? Now please don’t get me wrong here, I’m not against catching people who have warrants out for them, I’m just concerned about the methods being used here.
