6 Figure Payment to do what???????

I can’t believe this world we live in. What the &*$^ (insert your favorite 4 letter expletive here) is the publisher thinking of? Why should either convicted or “alleged” criminals such as Rod Blagojevich be allowed to profit off of their crimes (or alleged crimes in Blago’s case)? To me this should make the publisher a partner in the crime committed! Rod Blagojevich has signed a deal with the publisher Phoenix Books to the sum of a six figure deal to write about his filling the abandoned Barrack Obama senate seat among other items dealing with the corruption of politics in Illinois. Being a life-long resident of Illinois, I find it extremely irresponsible for ANYONE to profit off of political corruption in any state but most of all it is absolutely CRIMINAL to allow a person who has been impeached from the Governorship to profit from anything related to his impeachment. Quoting thepublicityagency.com:
“The publishing deal with Beverly Hills-based Phoenix Books includes the largest advance ever given by the independent book publisher”
So, according to this quote, the publisher has already advance a substantial amount of money to Blago to secure the rights to the book. I would like to think that they had done some research into their subject’s past but if they have forwarded monies to him then it’s obvious to me that they have not. After all, this man has a history of doing the exact opposite of what he tells people he will do. Well, maybe Phoenix has better Chicago ties than old Blago does, only time will tell for sure. According to Blago’s publicist, Glenn Selig, there are those who are trying to block the ex-governor from writing his book. I say let him write it, let him show the entire world just how foolish he really is, just don’t allow him to profit from it. In fact, take the proceeds from it and give them to the State of Illinois (after all, Blago has continued his mantra of how everything he has done has been for the benefit of the citizens of the State of Illinois).
’nuff said!
