Rant time

Just cannot understand why a person would advertise a product (in this case a textbook for my math class called Mathematics in Action: An Introduction to Algebraic, Graphical, and Numerical Problem Solving and not produce the book in the time allotted even though they were paid in full and in time! The person I purchased the book from had advertised said book on Half.com and I had heard lots of good stuff about that site. Unfortunately I don’t think that I can trust it as much as I was ready to before. That is not because I got burned on this issue but instead it is because of Half.com policy concerning exactly this type of situation. First you have to wait until the last deliver by date before you can contact the seller. Then you are instructed to send an email and allow for 48 business hours before contacting Half.com about the situation. Now please tell me does that mean 2 days or 6 days? I was totally confused about which it was supposed to be.
Then, after waiting for any reply back from the seller (of which I have received NONE) I decide to contact half.com and report this miscreant. I sent out an email to the reporting link provided by half.com and detailed my situation to them. After which I read that issues may not be resolved until 30 days after my initial report and that I am requested to not contact half.com about this issue until after that date! What sort of crock is this?! Needless to say I am not about to use half.com again until I get some sort of satisfaction and guarantee that this will not occur again!
