Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. Here you will find different musings and descriptions of the various happenings in my life. Anything from political and religious opinions to fantastical writings that have absolutely nothing to do with anything important. Some days I may write about my educational adventures and others I may be writing about the rising price of gasoline, you just never know. So, if this is your cup of tea or if you are just looking for the entertainment of reading other people's thoughts, I welcome you and invite you to subscribe to my blog (look for the link in the sidebar). Movie Picks for 2010 (cont.)

Ok, first of all I wish to highlight that I’ve placed a new countdown on the right hand sidebar of this site for the movies being released in the upcoming month. I will try to keep this updated on a monthly basis but cannot promise to do so merely because I may become too busy to update it regularly. Hopefully this won’t be the case.

Now on to those reviews (note: I won’t review all of the movies that you see on the monthly list, only those that I am interested in either seeing on the big screen or on dvd once they have been released). On with those reviews!

Extraordinary Measures is a true story about a father’s love for his two children who are afflicted with a debilitating rare disease. In a nutshell, this movie depicts the hardships and trials that a family is willing to go through in order to keep their loved ones alive and relatively well. I usually don’t like shows like this because I have difficulty with children whom are mortally ill but I think I may make an exception in this case. Starring Harrison Ford, Keri Russell and Brendan Fraser.

Legion is an apocalyptic sci-fi film about angels. It looks to have loads of action which of course appeals to me and many other men but may not appeal to the ladies too much. The special effects on the angels looks to be superb and worth seeing just by its own merit. This movie will most likely be a dvd rental for me but it is still one that I look forward to seeing. Starring Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Durand, Kate Walsh, Lucas Black, Willa Holland

Tooth Fairy is next and the first thing I have to say is simply this, what person would not wish to go see a movie that depicts Dwayne Johnson (WWE’s The Rock) as any type of fairy? This one really looks like a cute twist on the common fairy tale of the Tooth Fairy. Check this one out! Starring Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Judd, Julie Andrews.

Edge of Darkness is another movie starring Meg Gibson of the thriller genre. Although I don’t think this is going to be as good as many of his previous films I still think that it will be worth checking out. Starring Mel Gibson, Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, Shawn Roberts, Bojana Novakovic, Frank Grillo, Gbenga Akinnagbe.

When in Rome is a comedy about finding love. Now usually I shy away from these until they have been out for a couple of years (don’t know why, I just do) but this one will probably arrive via Netflix as soon as possible. It does look rather funny and I’m sure you will enjoy it too. Starring Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Danny DeVito, Jon Heder, Will Arnett, Dax Shepard (and really the reason I’m going to watch this is Danny DeVito, I really find him quite funny).

Universal Soldier 3 really does not interest me. After the second in this series I just lost interest in them. If I am extremely bored some evening I might look to see if it is on the instant play of Netflix but other than that it will become a “filler” pick for me. Starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Andrei Arlovski

Ok, I admit it, sometimes I go to a movie merely to appease my lovely wife (yes, I do). Dear John is going to be one of those times. My wife (Jean) loves Nicholas Sparks stories and as such we will go and see this movie so I’m going to make the best of it that I can. Although it is a sappy love story it is one that has some merits. It is about a special forces soldier who falls in love on leave and has to return to active duty in the hot zone of the war. I’m certain that it will be a tear jerker for most of the women who attend the movie. Starring Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried, Henry Thomas, Scott Porter, Richard Jenkins

Valentine’s Day is jammed pack with talent so I’m certain that it will be a great movie as well. Starring Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Shirley MacLaine, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, George Lopez, Queen Latifah, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Carter Jenkins

Wolfman is a classic werewolf story starring Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro in the lead roles. I love werewolf movies and this promises to be a great one. Can’t hardly wait to darken my room, grab some popcorn and be prepared to clean up any scattered in the room when I jump out of my skin! Would like to see this in the theatre but will most likely see it on DVD.

Ok, Ok, I’ve had enough for now. Will try to finish this later on but it probably won’t be today. We are only up to February folks so bear with me on the rest of the year. Enjoy the trailers so far and come back soon for more to come. Thanks!
